Als Data Engineer (m/w/d) hast du die Möglichkeit unsere datengetriebenen Services für die hauseigene Cloud Plattform MESLIS© weiterzuentwickeln. Dabei erwarten dich anspruchsvolle sowie abwechslungsreiche Aufgaben im Bereich der Anbindung neuer Datenquellen, der Implementierung komplexer Datenverarbeitungspipelines, Optimierung von bestehenden Implementierungen und der Konzeption von cloudbasierten Anwendungen. Dabei hast du alle Möglichkeiten, deinen Ideen freien Lauf zu lassen, um die besten Lösungen mit den neuesten Technologien zu entwickeln. In Zusammenarbeit mit unserem IT-Teams realisierst du neue Funktionalitäten und stellst ein hohes Maß der Datenqualität und Performance für unsere Cloud Plattform und Kunden sicher.

Als Data Engineer arbeitest du mit an unseren aktuellen Herausforderungen wie Extraktion und Transformation von Daten aus den unterschiedlichsten Quellen, Automatisierung von Workflows für Maschinelles Lernen und der ständigen Weiterentwicklung unseres Big Data Tech Stacks. Zu deinen Aufgaben bei deecoob gehören:

Entwicklung komplexer Data Processing Pipelines mit Kafka und Python
Integration von Drittanbieter APIs und Design von Serviceinferfaces mit gRPC
Entwicklung und Bereitstellung von cloud-basierten Lösungen in der Google Cloud für unsere Machine Learning-Anwendungen
Entwicklung und Anwendung von Standards zur Codequalität sowie automatisierte Unit-, Integration- und End-to-End Tests (CI/CD)
Performance-Optimierung und Monitoring unserer SQL (PostgreSQL) Datenbankensysteme

Dein Mix

Master-, Diplom- oder min. Bachelor-Abschluss in Informatik, Mathematik, Physik oder vergleichbarer Abschluss bzw. entsprechende Berufserfahrung
Sehr gute Kenntnisse und praktische Erfahrung in Python
Sehr gute Kenntnisse und sicherer Umgang mit SQL/NoSQL Datenbanken
Kenntnis der Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ist wünschenswert
Eine strukturierte, selbständige, analytische und zielorientierte Arbeitsweise

As a Data Engineer (m/f/d) you will have the opportunity to further develop our data-driven services for the in-house cloud platform MESLIS©. You can expect challenging and diverse tasks in the area of connecting new data sources, implementing complex data processing pipelines and designing cloud-based applications. You will have every opportunity to give free rein to your ideas in order to develop the best solutions with the latest technologies. In collaboration with our IT teams, you will implement new functionalities and ensure a high level of data quality and performance for our cloud platform and customers.

Here you set the tone

As a Data Engineer you will work on our current challenges such as extraction and transformation of data from various sources, automation of machine learning workflows and the further development of our Big Data Tech Stack. Your tasks at deecoob include:

Developing complex data processing pipelines using Python and Kafka
Integration of third-party APIs and design of service interfaces with gRPC
Development and deployment of cloud-based databases for machine learning applications
Development and application of code quality standards as well as unit, integration and end-to-end testing (CI/CD)
Performance optimization and monitoring of our SQL (PostgreSQL) database systems

Your mix

Master's degree, diploma or min. bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, physics or comparable degree or corresponding professional experience
Very good knowledge and practical experience in Python
Very good knowledge and confident handling of SQL/NoSQL databases
Knowledge of Google Cloud Plaform (GCP) is desirable
A structured, independent, analytical and goal-oriented way of working
